Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 15, 2026
Effective Date: March 7, 2024
This Privacy Policy explains how ZIXEL TECHNOLOGIES PTE.
LTD., Shanghai Ziqian Technology Co., Ltd., and their
affiliates (collectively, "Zixel," "we," "us," or "our")
collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information
in connection with Zixel 3D CAD and related services.
For the English-language website and Services, ZIXEL
TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is generally the primary contracting
entity. Depending on the product, region, and customer
relationship, Shanghai Ziqian Technology Co., Ltd. or
another Zixel affiliate may also handle personal information
while providing operations, support, compliance, or other
service functions.
We collect personal information only when it is reasonably
necessary to provide the Services, maintain security, comply
with legal obligations, or support lawful customer
administration requirements. If particular information is
optional, you may choose not to provide it, although some
features may then be unavailable.
Sensitive device permissions, such as access to the camera,
microphone, or photo library, are disabled by default and
are requested only when a feature needs them. You can
withdraw those permissions at any time in your device or
application settings.
This Privacy Policy applies to the official website at
www.zixel3d.com/en
together with our web applications, desktop or mobile
applications, SDKs, APIs, and any other products or services
that link to this Privacy Policy. It does not apply to
third-party products or services that operate under their
own privacy notices.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. It describes
the types of information we process, how you can manage
your information, and the rights available to you under
applicable law.
Table of Contents
I. How We Collect and Use Personal Information
We collect personal information that you provide directly,
information generated through your use of the Services, and
information supplied by Customers or authorized third
parties where permitted by law and necessary for service
delivery.
Account Services
When you register, sign in, recover an account, request
support, or use features that require identity verification,
we may collect information such as your name, email address,
mobile number, company or organization details, login
credentials, verification records, and other information
reasonably needed to authenticate you and administer your
account.
If you register on behalf of a Customer, we may process
organization details, business verification information, and
administrator contact information so that the Customer can
open, manage, and secure its workspace.
Customers may configure profile information for Authorized
Users, including names, avatars, team membership, and
directory details. That information may be visible within
the Customer's organization according to the workspace
settings chosen by the Customer.
Project Collaboration and Content
When you upload designs, files, comments, images, videos, or
other materials to the Services, we process that content and
related metadata so that we can store it, display it to
permitted collaborators, synchronize versions, maintain
activity history, and enable core collaboration features.
If you use features that capture or share images, video, or
audio, we may request access to the camera, microphone, or
local media library for that specific purpose. Refusing
those permissions will disable the relevant feature but will
not block unrelated features.
Search, Messages, and Support
We may process search terms, browsing activity within the
Services, support requests, and communication records so
that we can provide search results, troubleshoot issues,
respond to requests, and improve the user experience.
We may also use the contact information you provide to send
service notices, verification messages, security alerts,
billing notices, and, where permitted by law, marketing or
event communications. You can opt out of non-essential
marketing messages using the instructions in the message or
by contacting us.
Security and Operations
To maintain service reliability, security, and fraud
prevention, we may collect device and log information such
as IP address, device model, operating system version,
application version, browser type, language, identifiers
made available by the operating environment, network status,
crash data, usage logs, and approximate time-zone
information.
Where a security or verification workflow requires it, we
may process additional information such as
identity-verification records or device sensor information
used to complete the requested verification step. If you
choose not to provide that information, some
security-sensitive features may be unavailable.
Clipboard and Sharing Features
When you use copy, paste, or sharing features, the Services
may access clipboard content or similar local data only as
needed to complete that action. If a Customer enables
organizational security controls, those controls may limit
how content can be copied or shared outside the Customer's
workspace.
Changes in Purpose
If we need to process personal information for a purpose
that is not reasonably related to the purpose originally
disclosed to you, we will provide additional notice and
obtain consent where required by applicable law.
II. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, SDK storage, and similar
technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences,
maintain security, analyze traffic, measure performance, and
improve the Services.
Some of these technologies are required for core
functionality, while others support analytics, service
improvement, or personalization. You can control cookies and
similar technologies through your browser or device
settings, although disabling them may affect how parts of
the Services function.
III. Partners, Transfers, and Disclosures
We may share personal information with service providers,
infrastructure vendors, analytics or customer-support
partners, affiliates, and other processors that help us
operate the Services, provided they are subject to
confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
If you use the Services through a Customer account, that
Customer and its administrators may access or control
personal information and workspace content associated with
your use of the Services, subject to their own policies and
applicable law.
We may disclose personal information when required to do so
by law, regulation, court order, governmental request, or to
protect the rights, property, safety, and security of Zixel,
our users, or others.
We may also disclose personal information in connection with
a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of
assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to
applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
If we ever materially change our sharing practices, we will
update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or choices
required by law.
IV. How We Store Personal Information
Storage Location
In accordance with applicable law and our service
operations, we currently store personal information
collected through the Services in Singapore. If a future
business or technical need requires cross-border transfers,
we will implement the safeguards and procedures required by
applicable law.
Retention Period
We retain personal information only for as long as
reasonably necessary to provide the Services, satisfy the
purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal
obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and
maintain security. We may keep information for longer where:
-
law or regulation requires a longer retention period;
-
retention is reasonably necessary for audit, accounting,
or dispute resolution;
-
a Customer lawfully requires continued retention or
management of organizational data; or
-
the information must be preserved for fraud prevention,
security review, or other legitimate compliance purposes.
V. How We Protect Personal Information
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational
safeguards designed to protect personal information,
including access controls, encryption, logging, internal
permission management, secure development practices, and
measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access,
disclosure, or misuse.
Even so, no system can be guaranteed to be completely
secure. Internet transmission, storage systems, and
third-party infrastructure always involve some level of
risk. You should help protect your own information by
choosing strong passwords, securing your devices, and not
sharing credentials with others.
If we become aware of a personal information security
incident, we will take remedial measures and provide notice
to affected individuals and regulators where required by
law.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information you
provide directly to third-party websites, applications, or
services that are linked from the Services or otherwise used
by you outside our controlled environment.
VI. Managing Your Personal Information
Depending on your role, product version, jurisdiction, and
the type of information involved, you may have rights to
access, correct, update, delete, restrict, or object to
certain processing of your personal information, or to
withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for
processing.
Permissions and Account Settings
You can manage many device-level permissions, such as camera
or microphone access, through your device settings. You may
also update certain profile, login, and account details
through the account settings made available in the Services.
Requests to Access, Correct, or Delete Information
Individual Users may submit requests through available
account or support channels to access, correct, or delete
eligible personal information. Authorized Users may need to
contact their Customer or workspace administrator first,
because the Customer may control organizational account data
and settings.
We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a
request. In some cases, we may decline or limit a request
where permitted by law, for example if the request would
adversely affect the rights of others, undermine security,
or conflict with a legal retention obligation.
Account Deletion
If you ask us to delete your account, we may verify your
identity, account security status, and other relevant
information before processing the request. Account deletion
is generally irreversible.
When deletion is completed, we will delete or anonymize
personal information as required by applicable law, except
where retention remains necessary for legal, security,
compliance, Customer-management, or dispute-resolution
purposes.
Complaints and Service Closure
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you
may contact us using the methods listed below. If we ever
stop operating the relevant Services, we will stop
collecting personal information through them and will handle
the information we already hold in accordance with
applicable law.
The Services are primarily intended for adults. If you are
under 18, you should review this Privacy Policy with your
parent or legal guardian and use the Services only with
their consent and supervision.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has
provided us with personal information in a manner
inconsistent with applicable law, please contact us so that
we can review and address the issue.
VIII. Revisions to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to
reflect changes in law, our services, our data practices, or
our security and operational needs.
If we make material changes, we will publish the updated
version and provide any notice required by law before the
revised policy takes effect. Your continued use of the
Services after the updated version becomes effective means
that you acknowledge the revised Privacy Policy, to the
extent permitted by law.
If you have questions, comments, or requests about this
Privacy Policy or our handling of personal information, you
may contact us through the customer-service portal on our
official website (
www.zixel3d.com/en
) or by email at
contact@zixel3d.com
.
We do not usually charge a fee for reasonable privacy
requests. However, where permitted by law, we may charge a
reasonable fee or decline to act on requests that are
repetitive, excessive, technically disproportionate, or not
made by the relevant data subject or an authorized
representative.
After we verify your identity and understand the scope of
your request, we generally aim to respond within 15 business
days, unless a different period applies under local law or
the request is unusually complex.
This Privacy Policy may be made available in more than one
language. If there is any inconsistency between language
versions, the simplified Chinese version will prevail,
unless applicable law requires otherwise.

the interpretation of this Privacy Policy.
